Sister Anne Mayer

Sister Anne Mayer, SSND

One participant of the Nun Study celebrated her 100th birthday: Sister Anne Mayer, SSND, was born on November 12, 1905. She has been an educator, promoter of peace, spokesperson for women and children: she has written the history of the Academy of Our Lady at Longwood in Chicago.

Her insight and challenging questions have brought depth and energy to SSND discussions. She shared some of her wisdom in an interview with Sister Maureen Clancy in 1993, and during her birthday celebration on November 12, 2005.
