Immigrants

School Sisters of Notre Dame have been especially supportive of immigrants: this has been a constant in ministry from Mother Theresa’s desire to serve immigrants until today. Discover some of the experiences of Kathleen Spencer, SSND working in St. Paul, MN, Justine Nutz, SSND in New York City, and Maria Alex Bento, SSND in Parana, Brazil.

The signatures at the right are those of the first School Sisters of Notre Dame and their “travel agent” who arrived in New York from Munich in 1847.
